Finance Ministry says when IMF`s Exec Board to convene on Ukraine

Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyluk has stressed that the certain difficulties in the Parliament`s work will not delay the decision of the International Monetary Fund on Ukraine.
Ukraine is not violating the schedule of negotiations with the country`s key creditor, the International Monetary Fund, and looks forward to the meeting of the Fund`s Executive Board in July, as previously scheduled, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyluk said.
”With the IMF, we have completed negotiations and, one may say, we`ve put a full stop. We expect the meeting of the Executive Board [of the IMF to be held] in July, as planned,” Danylyuk said.
The minister admitted though that Ukraine was yet to fulfill part of the tasks. In particular, the laws have not been adopted on appeals in rulings on tax debts, as well as the laws on the activities of authorized economic operators, and others.
”At the same time, a law was passed [that is contrary to the IMF program] on a moratorium on collecting debt payments [from the debtors of] Naftogaz. This is an actual violation [of the terms of the assistance program] of the IMF. That is, now we have to be very careful in working with the Parliament. Hopefully, we will be able to resolve all of this,” said the minister.
He also stressed that the difficulties encountered in the Parliament would not delay the IMF decision on Ukraine. Answering the question of an UNIAN correspondent, Danylyuk said: ”I think [the IMF] will not delay it. But the question now is not only about the actual lawmaking but also about the responsibility of Parliament. Ahead of the Board meeting, the Parliament either fails to pass the required bills, or adopts those which complicate [the progress of the negotiations]. Where is the responsibility? ”
