The European Union countries will ratify the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement by the end of 2015.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The rest of the [EU] member states will ratify [the agreement] by the end of next year so that it, together with the free trade agreement, starts working in full from 2016,” he said.
Perebyinis said that the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement had currently been ratified by Lithuania, Bulgaria, Malta and Slovakia.
As reported, on September 16, the Verkhovna Rada and the European Parliament simultaneously ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
