The interlocutor of the agency told that a decision will be finally formally approved by the end of this day. Governments of 28 member countries should confirm this according to the written procedure.
Earlier, it was said that sanctions should come into force Tuesday, September 9, following their official publication in the EU collection of laws.
As reported by Ukrinform, on an instruction of the European Council, the Committee of Permanent Representatives at the EU Council last Friday has agreed on a package of new strengthened sanctions on Russia due to the military aggression against Ukraine.
