“MEPs call for the immediate deployment of modern weapons and a next-generation air defense system, urging German Chancellor Scholz to deliver Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine without further delay,” noted the press service of the European Parliament.

Members of the European Parliament emphasized that Ukraine defends its territorial integrity and needs immediate military assistance, including heavy weapons, to win the war against Russian troops.

In addition, the European deputies, in the annual report on the Common Security and Defense Policy, agreed that the member states should increase and accelerate the military, political and humanitarian support of Ukraine, as well as strengthen their own defense to counter threats to European security from the Russian Federation.
