Europe wants Russia not to cover military aggression with humanitarian situation

The European Union has said that the humanitarian situation cannot serve as a reason for Russian military action against Ukraine.
This is stated in the conclusions of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which met in Brussels on Friday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Any unilateral military actions on the part of the Russian Federation in Ukraine under any pretext, including humanitarian, will be considered by the European Union as a blatant violation of international law,” the EU foreign ministers said.
The EU again called on Russia to put an immediate stop to any form of border hostilities, in particular to the flow of arms, military advisers, and armed personnel into the conflict region, and to withdraw its forces from the border.
