The President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy noted on Twitter on February 2, 2023, that they arrived in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.

“Good to be back in Kyiv, my 4th time since Russia‘s invasion. This time, with my team of Commissioners. We are here together to show that the EU stands by Ukraine as firmly as ever. And to deepen further our support and cooperation,” tweeted Ursula von der Leyen.
The head of the diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, also arrived in Kyiv on the morning of February 2, 2023. He noted that the EU would continue to provide support to Ukraine for its victory, as well as post-war reconstruction.
“Arrived in Kyiv to convey EU’s strongest message of support to all Ukrainians defending their country. EU assistance has reached €50 billion since the start of Russia’s war. Europe stood united with Ukraine from day one. And will still stand with you to win and rebuild,” wrote Josep Borrell on Twitter.
Today in Kyiv, the members of the College of the European Commission headed by the President of this European institution, Ursula von der Leyen, will meet with the government of Ukraine. The topics for discussion will be the support of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, the coordination of efforts to restore Ukraine, the continuation of key reforms, as well as Ukraine’s approach to membership in the European Union.
Tomorrow, on February 3, 2023, the 24th EU-Ukraine summit will be held in Ukraine.
