EU has officially launched a training mission for 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers

The Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union noted on November 14, 2022, on Twitter that the European Union had officially launched a training mission for Ukrainian soldiers. Up to 15,000 military personnel will be trained as part of the mission.

“The European Council has launched the EU Military Assistance Mission EUMAM to support Ukraine in Russia’s ongoing war of aggression and provide training to up to 15000 Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel. Decision enters into force on publication in the Official Journal,” wrote the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union on Twitter.

The training, which will be conducted on the territory of the European Union, will include the training of Ukrainian troops to use Western weapons, which were sent to Ukraine.

Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are undergoing military training in Great Britain. They are trained there not only by the British but also by military specialists from other NATO and European Union countries.
