“The current situation is absurd. The EU supports Ukraine by providing financial assistance, imposing various sanctions on Russia, mobilizing resources to provide weapons to Ukraine, and at the same time continues to pay Russia for gas and oil, fueling its military machine. While Russia continues to receive billions of euros from the EU for Russian oil and gas, we will not be able to break its military machine, ” Dmytro Kuleba said.
“Of course, we are not happy that the oil embargo will be postponed for 6-8 months, but it is better than nothing. And I want to say one thing: if any country in Europe continues to oppose the embargo on Russian oil, there will be reasons to say that this country is an accomplice to the crimes that Russia is committing on the territory of Ukraine. We must call a spade a spade and tell the truth. If they are against the oil embargo, it means that they are playing on Russia’s side and share responsibility for everything it commits in Ukraine.”
