“2022: To provide electricity to homes and hospitals, European countries have offered more than 1000 power generators to Ukraine. Through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, almost 78,000 tonnes of in-kind assistance have also been delivered to the country,” stated European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarčič.

As reported, last week the European Commission handed Ukraine 40 powerful generators from the emergency reserves of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. Each such power plant with a capacity of 220 kVA (176 kW) can provide energy to a hospital.

Electrical equipment continues to arrive in Ukraine from other partners, in particular from Canada, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries of the world.

The deliveries are the response of the international community to the targeted attacks of Russian troops on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
