Energy Minister Nasalyk reports $901,000, EUR 240,000, UAH 1.4 mln in savings

Ukraine`s Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk declared UAH 1.2 million, or US$44,415, in income for 2016, as well as $901,000, EUR 240,000 and UAH 1.4 million (or $51,813) in savings in a declaration of assets for 2016, according to his e-declaration posted in the state register of income declarations.

The ministry`s income in 2016 was UAH 1.2 million, which includes UAH 24,700 as salary of a Ukrainian MP before April 2016 and UAH 221,900 as salary of the Energy Minister. At the same time, his wife Hiuzel Nasalyk received UAH 941,900 in income from her entrepreneurial activity.

Moreover, he declared three vehicles, including two Mercedes-Benz cars worth UAH 1.3 million and UAH 2.4 million, respectively.

Nasalyk also holds two shares of the Oriana company, which is registered in the town of Kalush in Ivano-Frankivsk region where Nasalyk worked as mayor. The company produces plastics and chemicals.

What is more, the minister is the owner of one apartment whose area is 287.7 square meters in Kyiv, a 561.4-square-meter house in the village of Kozyn in Kyiv region, as well as three land plots with a total area of 3,000 square meters.

Earlier, Nasalyk reported that his income in 2015 was UAH 410,000, including a UAH 81,100 salary of a people`s deputy. His wife Hiuzel Nasalyk in 2015 received UAH 745,200 in income as an entrepreneur.

The minister`s savings as of 2015 were estimated at $896,000 and EUR 240,000.

Nasalyk was appointed Energy and Coal Industry Minister in the middle of April 2016.
