“Elections” of terrorists on November 2 will lead to strengthening of conflict – Herashchenko

If the “LPR” and “DPR” are able to hold the so-called “elections” on November 2 in the territories under their control in Donbas, it will lead to an escalation of the conflict.

Representative of the President to Resolve the Conflict in Donbas Iryna Herashchenko said at the Freedom of Speech TV program, UNN reports.

“The international community expects from the President of the Russian Federation that he will say not after November 2, but today that no election can take place on this territory on November 2. Otherwise, there will be the fake elections that will not be recognized by the world, and it will only mean an escalation of the conflict,” Herashchenko said.

Recall, on Friday in Milan, Poroshenko noted that holding illegitimate elections in Donbas will negate the Minsk agreements.

Elections in self-proclaimed “DPR” and “LPR” are planned to be held on November 2.
