Lithuania will provide Ukraine with €41M in military aid

The Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas announced on April 5, 2023, on Twitter, the new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 41 million euros.

“The value of the new Lithuanian military support package for Ukraine will reach about 41 million €. It will consist of sent equipment, new acquisitions, contributions to international funds,” tweeted the Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

The Minister of Defense of Lithuania emphasized that these steps indicate close cooperation between the two countries and Lithuania’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov held a meeting with Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas in Kharkiv (a city in the east of Ukraine) on April 5, 2023.

Arvydas Anušauskas said that the total cost of military support that Lithuania handed over to Ukraine will soon reach 450 million euros.

Lithuania’s previous military aid package included 155 mm ammunition, vehicles and military rations.
