Dutch Senate receives latest documents necessary to consider EU-Ukraine Association

The Senate of the Netherlands has received the last package of documents necessary to consider the decision to ratify the Association Agreement with Ukraine and confirmed that the debate would be held on May 23, according to the official data released by the Dutch parliament, Europeiska Pravda reports.

The Senate said the necessary decisions of the committees were received on Tuesday, May 9.

Thus, the debate will be held on Tuesday, May 23.

It is noted that it is not yet known whether the direct vote will be postponed to the next plenary session.

Earlier, on February 23, the Parliament of the Netherlands (the Second Chamber) upheld a government-proposed bill providing for a ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.
