Donetsk militants ‘mobilize’ teenagers

Militants of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) are recruiting local 16-year-olds in their armed gangs.
Anti-terrorist operation spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Thursday.
“According to the latest reports, armed gangs of the so-called DPR are trying to replenish their ranks through the mobilization of local children and teenagers aged from 16 to 18 years,” he said.
Lysenko said that such actions violate Article 38 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
