The deficit of Ukraine`s foreign trade in goods January through July 2016 was estimated at US$2.529 billion, which was 1.4 times up on the deficit registered in the seven months of 2015 at $1.812 billion.
Goods exports in the period under review totaled $17.924 billion, having declined by 11.6% year-over-year, while imports shrank by 7.4%, to $20.453 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported with reference to preliminary reports.
The NBU said that the reports do not include information about Russia-annexed Crimea with Sevastopol and temporarily occupied areas in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
As UNIAN reported, the deficit of Ukraine`s foreign trade in goods in January-June 2016 was estimated at $1.953 billion, which was 23.5% up on the deficit year-over-year, when it was $1.581 billion, according to the NBU.
