Czech Senate recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on December 14, 2022, on Twitter that the Senate of the Czech Republic recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people. The President welcomed this decision.

“I welcome the decision of the Senate of the Czech Republic to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of Ukrainians. I am grateful to my Czech friends for establishing the truth and restoring historical justice. Punishment for all past and present crimes of Russia is inevitable,” said the President of Ukraine.

In November 2022, the parliaments of Romania, Ireland, Moldova and Germany recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of Ukrainians. In addition, Poland, Hungary, Australia, the Vatican, Brazil, Georgia, Ecuador, Estonia, Canada, Colombia, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, the USA, and Portugal have already recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Ukraine calls on the world to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 organized by Stalin’s totalitarian communist regime as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.
