MPs created the Interim Investigation Commission on recent events in the suburbs of Ilovaisk.
Deputy Andriy Senchenko told a briefing, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“A decision was taken about creation of the Interim Investigation Commission of the parliament on investigation into the circumstances of tragic events, which led to deaths and capture of soldiers of voluntary battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the suburbs of Ilovaisk, Donetsk region,” Senchenko said.
According to him, creation of the Commission was caused by contradictory information, which came from law enforcers, absence of coordination of the military in this area, as well as by the fact that timely decisions were not taken and due to criminal negligence.
He also said that the task of the Commission is to establish the circumstances of the fact that really took place near Ilovaisk, an that “assessment was given to actions and omissions of all those within the ATO, who had to decide on coordination, withdrawal of troops or any other decisions that could save lives.”
The deputy also informed about the end of the closed meeting of the parliament.
