Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian troops were holding the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, although Russian soldiers were doing everything to ensure that not a single wall remains there.

“The time is passing, and Bakhmut is breaking not only the Russian army but also the Russian mercenaries who came to replace the lost armies of the Russian troops. Just think about this: Russia has already lost almost 99 thousand of its soldiers in Ukraine. One day there will be 100 thousand losses of the Russian army. For what?” Ukrainian President emphasized.

According to Ukraine’s President, no one in Moscow has and will not have an answer to this question. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also praised the courage of Ukrainian soldiers.

“I thank all our soldiers who are heroically holding the Bakhmut direction, Soledar, Avdiivka, Marinka, Kreminna direction and the entire Donbas region, which before the arrival of Russia was one of the strongest in Ukraine and which Russia is destroying to the ground. Even such cruelty will not give the Russian army anything,” the head of state emphasized.
