Citizens of Ukraine will be able to apply for passports abroad

The government of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that allows ID cards and foreign passports to be issued in foreign divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

The first project has already started in Warsaw.

“Within the framework of the pilot project of the State Migration Service for the issuance of national and international passports of a citizen of Ukraine, the first preparations for the opening of such a passport center in Poland have begun in the subdivisions of the State Enterprise “Document” abroad. Ukrainians in Poland will be able to apply for both national and international passports through special temporary mobile complexes.”

“The first documents will be available at the beginning of August. The deadline for processing and issuing passport documents will be up to 45 business days in normal mode and up to 20 business days in urgent mode.”

It is planned to receive about 500 people a day.
