CEC registers over 500 foreign observers

The Ukrainian Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered another 106 official observers from international organizations and foreign states for early parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
A respective decision was made at a commission meeting on Thursday, Ukrinform’s correspondent reported.
In particular, the commission registered 68 observers from the Committee for Open Democracy, 24 from AEGEE-Europe/European Students’ Forum, as well as five more observers from Denmark and 9 nine from the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs.
As of October 9, the commission has provided the status of official observers in early parliamentary elections in Ukraine to 510 representatives of foreign states and international organizations.
