CEC counts nearly 98% of votes: People’s Front ahead of Poroshenko Bloc

The Central Election Commission has processed 97.74% of electronic protocols from precinct election commissions as of 05.15 on Wednesday, according to the commission’s website.
The People’s Front, which won 22.18% of the vote (3,424,417 votes), holds the lead, whereas the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko is second, with 21.82% of the vote (3,368,328 votes). Samopomich Union is third, with 11.01% of the vote (1,700,326 votes).
The Opposition Bloc (9.35%, or 1,444,250 votes), Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party (7.44%, or 1,149,468 votes) and Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Union (5.69%, 878,341 votes) also win parliamentary seats. Svoboda does not overcome the 5% electoral threshold, garnering 4.72% of the vote (729,626 votes).
