“I met with colleagues from Finland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and Sweden this morning to discuss the sustainment of the military equipment that we’re sending to Ukraine, such as Leopard 2 main battle tanks. In support of Ukraine, we will continue to work together on training, spare parts, and ammunition,” tweeted Anita Anand.

Canada announced last week that it would join the international “tank coalition” and transfer four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. Canada has also agreed to buy the NASAMS air defense system and 200 armored vehicles for Ukraine.

At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian army needs from 300 to 500 tanks to carry out a counteroffensive against Russian troops.
