“Since August 2001, flat hot-rolled carbon products originating in Ukraine have been subject to a 77% duty on Canada, effectively depriving our producers of an economic incentive to export their products to Canada. Ukrainian steel products can finally be exported to Canada again, 20 years from now.”

The ambassador welcomed the decision of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, which, according to her, would help Ukrainian metallurgical plants to rebuild new markets after reconstruction.
