Azerbaijan sent energy equipment worth more than $800,000 to Ukraine

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted on December 10, 2022, that its country will send 45 power transformers and 50 generators to Ukraine.

“Trucks with 45 transformers and the first batch of generators in the amount of 50 units, provided by Azerenergy (Azerenerji Joint Stock Company (JSC) were sent today from the territory of the Gobu Energy Junction with the participation of the ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan and representatives of Azerenergy OJSC,” said Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the coming days, it is planned to send a second batch of equipment.

In total, Azerbaijan will provide Ukraine with basic electrical equipment worth about 1 million 422 thousand manats (837 thousand US dollars).

It is also stated that the total amount of humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine is about 30 million manats (almost 17.7 million dollars), within the framework of which a school in Irpin (Kyiv region) has been completely restored, and about 90 Ukrainian children, affected from the war, undergo medical and social-psychological rehabilitation in Azerbaijan.
