ATO troops lose 15 soldiers over past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) the Ukrainian security forces have lost 15 military, and 79 injured, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Friday.
“Over the past 24 hours seven Armed Forces servicemen and eight border guards have been killed, 79 more soldiers wounded,” Lysenko said.
According to him, a large number of losses is due to the escape of the 79th Brigade from encirclement. “This is primarily due to the escape from the trap where the guys were fiercely fired from the territory of the Russian Federation and from the territory, currently controlled by terrorists,” the spokesman said.
