There is some progress in consultations on the liberation of Ukrainian prisoners held captive by terrorists, but the details will be after the release.
The ATO press-center reported.
“On the release of prisoners of the war. At this time, there is already some progress on this issue. Consultations continue. But details will be announced after the exchange,” a statement reads.
As reported, on September 5, in Minsk, following the meeting of the Tripartite Contact Group, an agreement was reached on a ceasefire and a protocol signed that is based on the peace plan of President Petro Poroshenko with the initiatives of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Under the agreement, both parties, in particular, are obliged to immediately release all hostages and illegally detained persons.
One of the points of the protocol is also a ceasefire on a bilateral basis, which, however, is not observed by terrorists.
