Serhii Haidai explained why the offensive of the Ukrainian army was not as fast as everyone would like it to be. It was clear that there would be no quick advance in the Luhansk region because the Russian army had time to bring reserves. In particular, they brought a lot of newly mobilized, recruited convicts, as well as equipment, to the Luhansk region.

“There are a lot of negative factors. But the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving forward every day, so we are even waiting for the opportunity to enter some settlements and work there,” noted the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

At the same time, according to Serhii Haidai, Russian troops tried to break through in the direction of Bilohorivka, but all their attacks were repelled by the Ukrainian military.

The Russians also continue to fire jet artillery at houses in the liberated villages where the local population remains. Most of them are elderly people.

“Among the 17 people who stayed in Bilohorivka, there was an elderly man and his daughter, who was taking care of him – they were killed by a Russian projectile the other day,” said the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
