Ukrainian Parliament to consider draft budget for 2017 this week – Speaker

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine intends to consider the draft state budget for 2017 in the first reading this week, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy wrote on Twitter.

”We will promptly consider the budget this week. In accordance with the regulations, the Verkhovna Rada should do this by October 20,” he tweeted.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine published a draft state budget of Ukraine for 2017, with a deficit limit at UAH 77.547 billion. According to the document, the state budget revenues are set in the amount of UAH 706.269 billion, while the expenditures are at UAH 775.265 billion.

The Cabinet in June 2016 approved the draft budget resolution, which foresees 3-4% GDP growth in 2017 amid 8.1% inflation and 8.6% unemployment. The state debt is projected at 66.8% of GDP next year, the forex rate is expected at UAH 27.2 per U.S. dollar.
