The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 20 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.30 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for December 15:
$100 costs UAH 2,630.7416 (on December 14, it was UAH 2,610.8820);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,800.1614 (on December 14, it was UAH 2,770.1458);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.3263 (on December 14, it was UAH 4.2753).
On Wednesday, December 14, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 26.31/26.38 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 27.8133/27.8638, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4059/0.4069.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.3074 to the dollar, with 552 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $308.36 million.
