68 Ukrainian rescuers were killed since the beginning of the full-scale Russian war

The Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serhiy Kruk informed on March 19, 2023, that 68 employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were killed, and 201 rescuers were injured during the full-scale war with Russia.

“Therefore, 68 rescuers have been killed and 201 rescuers have been injured as of today,” said the Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Serhiy Kruk emphasized the fact that lately there have been extremely frequent attacks on units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In addition, 5 employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are in Russin captivity.

Serhiy Kruk also reported that the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has lost more than 1,700 units of firefighting equipment since the beginning of the full-scale war waged by Russia.

“During this period of the war, we lost more than 1,700 fire trucks and firefighting equipment. We lost more than 300 fire departments and more than 700 buildings of various types, buildings of the State Emergency Service during the war. These are those that were damaged [from Russian shelling – ed.] and those which remained in the occupied territory,” added the Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
