592 heat supply facilities were damaged in Ukraine due to Russian missile attacks

Natalia Khotsianivska Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine noted on November 29, 2022, that 592 heat supply facilities were damaged in Ukraine as a result of rocket attacks by Russian troops on energy infrastructure. 316 of them have already been restored.

“In Ukraine, 592 heat supply facilities were damaged due to Russian shelling, namely: 444 boiler houses, 13 thermal power plants, 7 heat-electric generating plant, and 128 central heating points. Thanks to coordinated actions, 316 such objects have already been restored today,” said the Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

According to operational information from the regions of Ukraine, in general, about 99.7% of boiler houses are working in Ukraine, and almost 100% of residential buildings, schools, kindergartens and health care facilities are connected to heating. 225 residential buildings out of almost 72,400 aren’t connected to the heating supply (not including the Luhansk and Kherson regions).
