36 graves of killed Ukrainians were found in the liberated from Russian troops Kherson region

The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin said on December 22, 2022, that 36 more graves of the killed Ukrainians were discovered at the cemetery in the settlement of geologists in Kherson, after the liberation from Russian soldiers.

Yevhen Yenin noted that earlier in the village of Pravdyne, the Kherson region, a burial of several people with traces of torture and gunshot wounds was discovered. The discovered corpses were exhumed and sent for forensic examination.

“Another 36 graves were found at the cemetery in the settlement of geologists in Kherson. There is a mass grave, where there are also the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen. In total, during the period of Russian occupation, morgues received about 700 bodies, of which approximately 100 were injured as a result of hostilities, the identities of 12 of them have not been established so far,” said the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The work is currently underway to quickly collect DNA samples from relatives to identify the victims of Russian aggression.
