“More than 1,015 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of July 17, 2022, the official number of child victims did not change – 353. The number of wounded children – 662,” the message said.
It is noted that these numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Donetsk has reported the highest number of child victims in the country with the number as high as 352, 191 in Kharkiv, 116 in Kyiv, 68 in Chernihiv, 61 in Luhansk, 53 in Mykolaiv, 52 in Kherson, and 31 in Zaporizhzhia.
It became known about three more children who were wounded on July 14 as a result of a rocket fire by the enemy in the center of Vinnytsia.
In addition, 2,138 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the Russian troops. 221 of them were completely destroyed.
