3 million hectares of Ukrainian forests were destroyed by Russian shelling, – Ukraine’s President

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during his address to the student community of Ireland on November 18, 2022, that Russia destroyed 3 million hectares of forests in Ukraine due to its constant shelling.

“Russia destroyed almost 3 million hectares of forests in our country with its aggression. They were burned by shelling. And this is just one of the thousands of crimes committed by Russia against the environment,” noted the Ukrainian President.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that hundreds of hospitals were destroyed as a result of Russian shelling.

“Do you know how many educational institutions the Russian army destroyed in Ukraine during the 9 months of war? 2,719 were shelled, and 322 were completely destroyed. These are universities, and schools,” Ukraine’s President added.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that Russian aggression and Russian lies to the world do not stop for a single day. In this regard, he emphasized the need to increase global pressure on Russia every day. Everyone at their own level can join the fight against Russia.

At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to Irish students to spread the truth about the Russian-Ukrainian war.
