Over 2,600 Ukrainian soldiers killed in Donbas war – Ukraine`s Defense Ministry

Ukraine`s Defense Ministry has announced that over 2,600 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and more than 9,400 have been wounded since the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in Donbas, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

”Since the beginning of the ATO, 2,629 servicemen have been killed amid hostilities, including 2,220 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The remaining victims were from the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the SBU Security Service of Ukraine, and the State Emergency Service. A total of 9,453 soldiers were wounded, including 7,674 people from the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” ministry speaker for the ATO issues Andriy Lysenko told a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.

Earlier, Russia`s hybrid military forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 50 times in the past 24 hours, when five Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action.

  1. Mariopol defences have been strong and robust. The Asov battalions counter attack is right thing to do. Proxy terrorists break ceasefire agreements daily. EU nato should strengthen sanctions against Putin and Russia. Ban all travel, diplomats, sport events, oil gas deals, space programmes, and any other trade. Now.
