“Russia has once again committed an act of nuclear terrorism. Today, on February 18, 2023, the flights of two Russian cruise missiles were recorded on the South Ukraine NPP at 8:25 a.m. and 8:27 a.m. during another massive Russian missile attack,” emphasized the State Enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”.

The aerial objects were moving along the Southern Bug river in the direction of the city of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region (south of Ukraine), and flew dangerously close to the nuclear facility.

“The threat of hitting the reactor with possible consequences – a nuclear catastrophe was high again. This is another act of nuclear terrorism of the Russian Federation, which threatens the security of the whole world!”Stressed “Energoatom”.

The organization once again appealed to the IAEA with the demand to take all possible measures to stop Russian nuclear terrorism and to establish a demilitarized zone around occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, as well as a no-fly zone over all nuclear facilities of Ukraine.
