As a result of the attack, hundreds of settlements in seven regions of Ukraine have no electricity supply.

“The consequences could have been much worse. But thanks to the heroic and professional work of the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, 44 of the more than 50 missiles fired at our territory were shot down. Thanks to the fighters who protect Ukrainian skies,” the Prime Minister said.

Denys Shmyhal thanked the energy workers who are eliminating the consequences of the Russian attacks and emphasized that the repair crews were working at full capacity.

Currently, local emergency shutdowns continue in the Kyiv region, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Kharkiv region. As the Prime Minister emphasized, all Ukrainians  had to reduce the load on the network and save electricity.
