On November 4, 2022, it became known that 17 states of the European Union decided to send 500 electric generators to Ukraine, against the background of the strikes of Russian troops, which caused significant damage to the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

“Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been severely damaged. 17 EU countries sent 500 power generators to Ukraine through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism to ensure Ukrainians’ access to electricity and heating,” says the European Commission.
Power generators to Ukraine were sent from Slovenia, Slovakia, Ireland, Austria, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Poland and France.
Earlier, it was noted that the EU and its partners will provide Ukraine with more than €25M to restore its energy infrastructure, as well as the European Union is ready to supply electricity to Ukraine.
According to the President of Ukraine, almost 40% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was damaged due to Russian missile attacks since October 10, 2022.
