16,000 people flee from occupied Crimea – NSDC

The total number of internally displaced persons (IDP) from the occupied by Russian Crimea now is 16,284 people (including 4,502 children), Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Friday.
In addition, he said, in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) 75,951 people, including 26,000 children have been displaced to other regions so far. In recent days 3,188 people have left their homes.
As of August 1, the number of internally displaced persons from the ATO area was estimated at nearly 63,000.
