1, 451, 603 Ukrainian civilians were left without electricity due to Russian shelling

The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that 1,451,603 Ukrainian subscribers were left without electricity due to Russian missile attacks on October 22, 2022.

In addition to the subscribers who were without power today as a result of the shelling, restrictions on energy supply were also forced to apply in 11 regions of Ukraine.

“Russian troops continue to hit energy facilities in various regions of Ukraine. 672,000 subscribers have been disconnected in the Khmelnytskyi region, 188,400 in the Mykolaiv region, 102,000 in the Volyn region, 242,000 in the Cherkasy region, 174, 790 in the Rivne region, 61, 319 in the Kirovohrad region, and 10, 500 in the Odesa regions of Ukraine as a result of Russian missile strikes,” noted the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, specialists immediately started repair work on the affected areas.

In addition, according to “Ukrenergo” [National Power Company of Ukraine – ed.], the scale of damage caused by Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure of the western regions of Ukraine on October 22 may exceed the consequences of the Russian attack on October 10-12, 2022.
