This is Ukraine today – November 8: No country in the world has recognized the sham elections in Eastern Ukraine and other news

Maidan Community Sector, Lviv: Dear friends!

November 8 – Russia has lifted all restrictions regarding Ukrainian-made produce being sold in Crimea. Earlier, Russia banned the supply of Ukrainian products to Crimea, but after requests from local authorities it has partially lifted this ban – winter is coming soon and separatists don’t want to go hungry.

November 8 – Since the end of Cold War, Ukrainian crisis is the biggest threat to European security. Russian invasion of the Crimea became its turning point, – said European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, when speaking in Rome.

November 8 – Three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and fifteen injured during ATO on November 7th, – said deputy spokesman of NSDC Volodymyr Polyovyi.

November 8 – Simulators to train terrorists were brought in from Russia to eastern Ukraine disguised as “humanitarian convoy”, – said deputy spokesman of NSDC Volodymyr Polyovyi. According to him, equipment needed to set up a military range in the area, occupied by Russia, were relocated to Ukraine. Recently Russia has sent more than 5 “humanitarian convoys” to Donbas, which arrived on August 22, September 13 and 20, in late October and early November.

November 8 – OBSE has curtailed the work of the unmanned planes in Eastern Ukraine due to the threat of electronic obstacles. Unmanned OBSE planes, according to the Minsk agreement, are to control the the regime of the ceasefire in the Donbas region. On October 23, a special OBSE monitoring mission sent its first unmanned flight near Mariupol in the Donetsk region. However, the OBSE unmanned flying vehicles were attacked by the Russian terrorists on October 29, November 2 and 4. On October 29, 3 kilometers to the west of the city Sartana, there was an attempt to muffle the GPS signal on the unmanned planes, on November 2, an anti-aircraft missile fired on the flying vehicle, on November 4, a BPLA while flying over the village of Chermalyk (40 km. to the northeast of Mariupol on the territory controlled by DNR), ended up in the zone of the military muffling of the GPS signal. All attacks were unsuccessful, the unmanned aircraft landed safely.

November 8 – No country in the world, except Russia, has recognized the sham elections in Eastern Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin. “We received that which we expected, in the sense that absolutely nobody, no country, except Russia, neither legally nor politically – and this is affirmed by today’s statement (assistant to the RF president, Yuriy Ushakov) has recognized these elections,” he said.
