Solomensky DItrict Court in Kyiv ruled court arrested Nasirov for 60 days with the possibility of making a deposit. The judge of Kyiv`s Solomensky District Court, Oleksandr Bobrovnik, ruled to take Ukraine`s chief taxman Roman Nasirov, charged with the abuse of power, into custody for 60 days as a measure of restraint.
The court`s decision thus partly satisfied the prosecutors` request according to an UNIAN correspondent.
Arrested until April 30, 2017, Nasirov can still be bailed out for UAH 100 million, which is 20 times lower the amount requested by the prosecution.

According to the ruling, if the bail is deposited, Roman Nasirov shall wear an electronic monitoring device and turn in his travel documents of a citizen of Ukraine, as well as refrain from communicating with other individuals involved in criminal proceedings.
Nasirov shall be kept in custody from the moment the ruling is handed down up to the moment the bail is pledged, if any.
The ruling can be appealed in Kyiv`s Court of Appeals within five days.
Earlier, On Thursday, March 2, the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Anti-corruption Prosecutor`s Office of Ukraine (SAPU) held a number of raids in the State Fiscal Service`s offices, including its head office. Nasirov is charged under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (the abuse of power or official position).
NABU suspects that the SFS-approved installment plan for rent payments for gas production was part of the scheme by MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko`s firms on misappropriation of funds PJSC Ukrgasvydobuvannia in the amount of UAH 740.07 million. The damage to the state budget as a result of Nasirov`s alleged actions is estimated at UAH 2 billion.
March 3, the Cabinet suspended Roman Nasirov for the period of the probe.
