Russian troops’ attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine
During the day, Russian troops launched 42 missile strikes, 44 airstrikes, and conducted 24 artillery bombardments using rocket artillery systems on the positions of Ukrainian military and civilian areas. Unfortunately, due to these Russian terrorist attacks, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.
The likelihood of missile and airstrikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high. Throughout the day, there were 23 clashes in combat zones.
List of the Russian Federation’s attacks on the Ukrainian territory
- In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
- In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army carried out an airstrike in the vicinity of Stepne in Sumy Oblast. It also conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 20 populated areas, including Tymonovychi, Khotiivka, Hremyach in Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Fotovyzh, Atynske, Katerynivka, Vodolagy in Sumy Oblast; and Veterynarne, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Kreidyanka, Ambarne in Kharkiv Oblast.
- In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas southeast of Vilshanka and east of Petropavlivka in Kharkiv Oblast. It carried out airstrikes in the regions of Ivanivka, Zaghryzove, Vilshanka in Kharkiv Oblast, and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast. Russian artillery and mortar shelling targeted Kupyansk, Pishchane, and Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv Oblast.
- In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Siverske, Spirne, and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast. Russian artillery shelling impacted the settlements of Kolodyazi and Siverske in Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Bakhmut direction, Russian soldiers conducted airstrikes in the regions of Vasyukivka, Klyshchiivka, Andriivka, and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 10 populated areas were affected by Russian artillery shelling, including Pryvillia, Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klyshchiivka, and Bila Hora in Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Avdiivka direction, Russian attempts at unsuccessful offensives were observed south of Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast. Russian troops carried out airstrikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Nevelske. More than 10 settlements experienced Russian artillery shelling, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske in Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to repel Russian troops’ advances in the areas of Marinka and Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast. The Russian army conducted an airstrike in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast. Over 10 settlements were affected by Russian artillery shelling, including Oleksandropil, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, and Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian army made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the area of Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast. It conducted airstrikes in the regions of Velyka Novosilka, Makarivka, Staromayorsk, and Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 settlements were subjected to Russian artillery shelling, including Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Staromayorsk, and Rivnopil in Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian soldiers carried out airstrikes in the areas of Omelnyk, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Over 20 settlements, including Novodarivka, Poltavka, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Novoandriivka, and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Kherson direction, the Russian army conducted airstrikes in the regions of Mykolaivka and Sadove in Kherson Oblast. Settlements such as Kherson, Ponyativka in Kherson Oblast, and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv Oblast experienced Russian artillery shelling.
The Ukrainian troops’ strikes on Russian equipment
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidating their positions at the achieved lines and implementing counter-battery measures.
During the day, the Armed Forces’ aviation conducted 7 strikes on areas where Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated.
Rocket and artillery units struck 2 artillery systems on firing positions, 1 anti-aircraft missile complex, and another significant Russian target throughout the day.
