The Norwegian Government noted on April 4, 2023, that it introduced a new package of sanctions against Russia and its regime.

“Norway has introduced a new round of sanctions against President Putin and the Russian regime. This corresponds to measures in the EU’s tenth sanctions package, which was adopted on 25 February 2023,” reported the Government of Norway.
“New reporting obligations to promote compliance with financial freezing measures. New reporting and disclosure obligations in connection with the ban on trading in certain negotiable securities and money market instruments issued by Russia etc. Prohibition against letting Russian citizens etc. hold positions in certain governing bodies,” explained the Government of Norway about the new sanctions against Russia.
In addition, Norway’s government extended the ban on the export of goods of dual value, which can be used by the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation. It is also about some construction goods, aviation industry goods and technologies.
New restrictions have been also introduced on the import of bitumen, asphalt, synthetic rubber and carbon black from the Russian Federation.
