“The Ukrainians continue to have a great and urgent need for ammunition for their fight for freedom against Russia. Together with other EU and NATO countries, Denmark is in the process of meeting you with a number of different military contributions. Our cooperation with Norway is an important example of this,” said the Minister of Defense of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen.

The exact terms of release and delivery of projectiles are not specified. However, it is noted that the ammunition is suitable for Caesar self-propelled artillery, which Denmark handed over to Ukraine in early 2023.

“The immediate assessment from the Defense is that the ammunition will be able to be used by the Danish CAESAR artillery pieces, which the Danish Parliament decided to donate to Ukraine at the beginning of the year, which is why the rounds are expected to be donated together with the systems,” added the Ministry of Defense of Denmark.
