“Norway will provide Ukraine with two complete NASAMS firing units in cooperation with the United States. Ukraine has a critical need to defend itself against missile attacks, and Norway will assist,” said the Minister of Defense of Norway.

In cooperation with the USA, Norway will provide Ukraine with two NASAMS launchers. They will arrive in addition to two firing units provided by the United States in 2022.

“NASAMS have proved to be an effective air defence system. Adding two more firing units will significantly improve Ukraine’s ability to protect its cities and critical infrastructure from Russian missile attacks,” added the Government of Norway.

Norway will also train Ukrainian personnel in system maintenance and operation.

“Norway has supported Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale war and has done a lot for Ukrainian soldiers so that they are strong on the battlefield. We appreciate it,” said the President of Ukraine during the meeting with Bjørn Arild Gram.
