Russia shelled 2 thermal power plants in Ukraine, one of them stopped producing electricity: photo

The press service of “DTEK Energo” (the largest private investor in the energy industry in Ukraine) noted that Russian troops attacked two thermal power plants of “DTEK Energo” on January 14, 2023, which have already been repeatedly hit by the Russian army.

“Fortunately, no one was injured. As a result of the shelling, the equipment of the TPP was damaged. Immediately after the end of the attack, the power industry began to promptly eliminate the consequences. This is already the 26th Russia attack on DTEK energy facilities,” clarified the press service of “DTEK Energo”.

Later, the press service of “DTEK Energo” gave more details about Russian shelling.

“Russian military hit the turbine compartment of the plant’s power unit. One of the power units was destroyed. Other power units were also damaged. Currently, firefighters and employees of the plant continue to eliminate the consequences of the missile strike,” added the press service of “DTEK Energo”.
