The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration said that Russian troops shelled the Kherson region with artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, and tanks on January 9, 2023. As a result, two civilians were killed, and two more were injured.

“Russian troops shelled the territory of the Kherson region 46 times. The Russians shelled Kherson 14 times – once again they attacked the residential quarters of the city. Russian shells hit critical infrastructure facilities, private and apartment buildings,” noted Yaroslav Yanushevych.
The police opened 25 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the Russian military and their accomplices in the Kherson region on January 9, 2023.
“The Russian army shelled the suburbs of Kherson, powerful explosions rang out there, people were left homeless, fires broke out in places, and there were reports of the death of domestic animals,” explained the communications department of the National Police of Ukraine.
According to Ukraine’s police, during the Russian shelling in Kherson, a man was killed, and a 71-year-old woman was injured.
In addition, a 70-year-old man was blown up by Russian mine in the Beryslav district.
