The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted on December 22, 2022, that more than 50 substations of various voltage classes and more than 50 high-voltage power lines were damaged as a result of missile attacks on the energy system of Ukraine.

“More than 50 substations of various voltage classes and more than 50 high-voltage power lines were damaged. This usually leads to difficulties in the transportation of electricity. This problem can be solved in only one way – it is the repair and restoration of damaged objects, which our energy workers heroically do around the clock,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized.
Denys Shmyhal noted that due to such damage, on average, within two days after each shelling, the energy companies are forced to restore the network capacity of the Ukrainian system.
In particular, the power industry in Ukraine currently has problems in blocks: the first is a shortage of generating capacity, and the second is a shortage of network capacity.
