The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian military was carrying out a counteroffensive in the east, Ukrainian troops had already liberated 9,000 square kilometers that’s about 400 settlements as of September 24, 2022.

“About 9 thousand square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, about 400 settlements have already been liberated since the beginning of active combat actions in the east of our country in September.”
The President emphasized that the corresponding “tangible result was achieved thanks to the fact that our people in the temporarily occupied territory help us”.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on people in the occupied territories to continue in the same spirit, “so that such aid becomes more common.” He asked residents to assist those living in occupied areas that are in need: singles, the elderly, and families with children.
The President stressed that Ukraine would return to its territories and that it had to retain as many of its people as possible.
